Specialized Staffing And Recruitment

Who We Are

Finding great talent starts with being that talent

At Plasma, we recruit from firsthand experience. As former creative directors, producers, copywriters, art directors, editors, VPs, Cannes Lions and Emmy award winners—we know the roles, the work, and the people. Chances are we’ve already worked together.

This experience allows us to identify, evaluate, and place professionals who will be an ideal match for the role and your company culture. Whether you're building an entire team or need temporary expertise, we help connect you with candidates who can make an immediate impact.

What We Do

Specialized staffing for specialized industries

Because we specialize exclusively in pharmaceutical and healthcare advertising/marketing and production, we're able to offer a level of expertise, network access, and strategic support that generalist staffing firms simply can't. Whether you need a single critical hire, a high-performing team, a curated freelance talent pool, or guidance through organizational change, we deliver customized solutions that help your people—and your business—perform at their best.

Case Studies

Operation Keep Top Talent

Problem:

New clients on a pharma ad agency account decided to assign the business to a new agency. With no open full-time roles for this top-performing agency team to fill, they were at risk of being laid off.

Solution:

To retain top talent, members of the team were given the option of converting to a contract role through Plasma. In this arrangement, they’d function as freelance talent for the agency until roles became available. Their historical knowledge of agency platforms, people and processes made for a seamless integration. A new account win brought new roles, and the majority of talent who opted for the freelance alternative were rolled back into full-time positions.

Project Manager vs Producer

Problem:

An important video project was placed under the direction of a project manager whose experience did not fully align with production demands, putting both the work and client relationship at risk.

Solution:

Plasma was brought in to quickly source a seasoned producer. Within 72 hours, we delivered a pre-vetted candidate from the television industry—an often-untapped talent pool for traditional recruiters—ready to step in immediately.

The producer not only stabilized the project but also went on to help establish an in-house production department that now serves as a revenue-generating unit for the organization.

The Show Must Go on

Problem:

A popular television production relocated to a new state. With just four weeks until the start of the new season, many crew members had resigned with others yet to conform their relocation, leaving several key full-time roles including crew, producers, and bookers empty.

Solution:

Plasma staff used their industry contacts and sourced talent for all 9 full-time positions in a state not typically associated with television production. Additional talent was also secured to form a small reserve of freelance talent to jump in for temporary assignment in the event inevitable relocation delays took place (2 of these temporary workers were required). In the end, the transition was seamless and the show was produced and aired without interruption.

One in a Million...times 4

Problem:

A major pharmaceutical company needed to build a highly specialized team responsible for reviewing corporate communications and R&D materials. Candidates would need a rare combination of expertise: a strong understanding of marketing, familiarity with regulatory and legal requirements, and deep scientific knowledge of pipeline compounds and disease states.
Professionals with this unique blend of skills are exceptionally difficult to find. The challenge wasn't identifying one qualified candidate—it was finding four.

Solution:

To fill these highly specialized roles, Plasma looked beyond résumés and traditional talent pipelines. Working closely with the client, we analyzed the day-to-day responsibilities of each position, identifying the core competencies required for success and distinguishing them from skills that could be developed on the job.
Armed with this insight, we tapped into our networks across the scientific, healthcare, and academic communities to uncover candidates with advanced degrees in medicine and biology—many of whom were thriving in their current roles and not actively seeking new opportunities. One exceptional candidate didn't even have a LinkedIn profile.
From outreach and relationship-building to negotiations and placement, Plasma managed every step of the process, ultimately assembling a truly unique team tailored to the client's needs.
